edit: *convience fees
Are voice/data passes subject to taxes and junk fees OR are they simply flat rate and tax inclusive?
What payment methods can be used to pay for said passes and are there "convince fees" to this?
All other hidden fees - trying to save enough money to buy lunch for "the man." (I'm "the man" but I'm still working for THAT man.)

I have yet to purchase a pass so I am not the most qualified person to answer this question, but as far as I can tell they are just flat rates and there are no additional fees or taxes to speak of.
When purchasing the phone keep in mind that you do have to pay for shipping (there are several options offered at different amounts). Other than that prices are exactly as advertised: $269.00 for the phone (shipping not included), $1.99 for the 24 hour passes and $14.99 for the 30 day passes (unless you happen to win a free pass/phone or have some sort of coupon of course).
And by the way, there really is no monthly fee or anything like that. Since purchasing the phone in February I have not had to pay a penny and I am very happy with the service. Texting really is free anywhere, and I can make unlimited calls over Wi-Fi (and of course unlimited data over Wi-Fi as well). GPS also is free of course and works anywhere.
I did end up purchasing a 24 hour voice pass several months ago for $1.99 and found out that they are not a tax inclusive flat rate. After taxes and fees it ended up costing me $2.34 in total.
