I have been waiting since Feb. I completely understand where you are coming from. I am too, growing impatient.
I think that the service that Scratch offers appears to be top notch. They can actually port my number (which Republic Wireless cannot) and they have the no cost monthly minimum that allows you to keep your number, another feature that no other company seems to have. Also their customer support is very helpful and quick to respond. They also speak English which is a plus!
All that said, the run around on why there are no phones available is worrisome.... I could not imagine walking onto a Ford dealership and telling them I want an F150, and them just telling me that the whole Ford corp. has no F150's available, and to wait without a reason. "The Factory ran out of steering wheels, and we are waiting on the vendor to get some made.. they are scheduled for this date." That is a valid reason, that would be a sad dilemma.. but if it were the truth, then that is all a customer could ask for.
If Scratch is having trouble getting phones, or with getting them to work on the software end, or some other reason, I feel that they should tell us. Being honest with the customer is always the best policy...
This is a very unique product, and it attracts very unique customers.. such as myself. I am willing to wait, because I live my life in a very simplified fashion... I still have a pre-paid dumb phone and am only going to upgrade on a service such as Scratch.. a service that is not going to rape me for service that I won't get my money's worth out of...
So Scratch... don't be afraid to tell us what the hold up is.. we are big boys and girls and can handle the truth! I don't care if you are having a vendor issue... that is expected for a new company! Heck the company I work for is 100+ years old and we have vendor issues and on time complete issues and problems filling orders.. but I implore you that giving us, your unique customer base, the run around is not the way to keep our interest. In fact it is probably going to repel us in time.
Just the humble opinion of a hopeful customer.
